It’s hard to believe that we are already half way through March. It’s been a manic start to the year with Big Gay Out, Bear New Zealand, OurFest and now the Aroha Festival.
Last Friday URGE and Caluzzi handed over a cheque of $6,000 to the NZAF after we ran the beer tent at Big Gay Out with profits going to the charity. Thanks to everyone who supported us and all the great volunteers who gave up their free time.
Bear New Zealand week proved to be a huge success, beyond our wildest dreams, and we already have had plenty of enquires from overseas about next year’s event. We will keep you posted on dates. Tri-Nations will certainly be coming back after a great party at the 4:20 Bar.
This month:
March 20th: DJ Raj
March 26th: Phoenix at Pyramid Club, 26 Wyndham St. URGE DJs Donald Bennett, Mauri and Raj will be playing as Phoenix moves to a new venue.
March 27th: DJ James Leuii
Good Friday April 2nd: Closed due to licensing laws.
Easter Saturday April 3rd: Open til midnight due to licensing laws.
Easter Sunday April 4th: Underware Party with DJ Mauri. We are open from midnight for our traditional Easter Undies party. Tickets available now from the bar $10 each. Get in quick as we will sell out.
URGE also recommends the Aroha Festival (http://arohafestival.com/) and the Big Gay Day on Easter Sunday ( http://www.biggayday.co.nz/). Also if you heading to Melbourne, BearNation on May 29 is a must (http://www.bearnation.com.au)
