July is going to be one hell of a busy month with two huge nights at the bar and one MASSIVE dance party.

 

That party is 'TOP or BOTTOM' being held on Saturday July 9 at 4:20/Rising Sun on Karangahape Road (just opposite from Kamo). It's the first time URGE has hooked up with the guys from Salvation and we are bringing you 8 DJs over two floors, featuring spectacular lasers in a no-attitude environment. The top floor features uplifting tunes from Dubby24, Donald Bennett, Marty and Mykel Kelly while the bottom floor features more dark'n'durty sounds from Ant, James Leuii, Raj and Mauri.

This going to be THE big mid-winter gay dance party and guys are coming from all over New Zealand and Australia for this. JULY AT URGE:

 

Friday July 1 - The final ever Bears night at Kamo before the venue undergoes a make-over. Music from DJ Vitamin K and a special performance for one-night only from Tess Tickle. Then its done to URGE afterwards and music from DJ James Leuii.

 

Saturday July 2 - Mid Winter Mardi Gras with DJ Donald Bennett. This annual event is one of the biggest nights of the year at URGE. Bring your beads and your smiles as we celebrate New Orleans-style at the bar. Uplifting beats from Donald and best of all - it's free entry.

 

Thursday July 7 - Abigail's Party night. Our first 1970s event was a success so it's back! 1970 cocktails and nibbles with retro themes from DJ Vitamin K and cheesy movies on the TV.

 

Friday July 8 - Man Friday with DJ James Leuii.

 

Saturday July 9 - Pre-TOP or BOTTOM party at URGE. Come along from 9-10.30pm and get your party armbands so you can avoid the queues. A great way to start the night before the big TOP or BOTTOM party at 4:20/Rising Sun.

 

Thursday July 14 - URGE Quiz Night, this month hosted by Grant. Come along from 9pm for some brain teasers.

 

Friday July 15 - Man Friday with DJ James Leuii

 

Saturday July 16 - DJ Ant

 

Thursday July 21 (and every Thursday night during winter) - Grab yourself one of our special Winter Warmer cocktails. Every six you buy gives you the chance to enter our special draw for some big prizes.

 

Friday July 22 - Man Friday with DJ James Leuii

 

Saturday July 23 - F-E-T-I-S-H night. A new night for URGE for anyone who likes to dress up, or dress down. Anything goes - you bring the attitude and we'll bring the beer. Leather, rubber, sports whatever you like to play in! Music from DJ Raj.

 

Thursday July 28 - The first prize draw for our Winter Warmer prize. You must be in the bar to win the prize!

 

Friday July 29 - Man Friday with DJ James Leuii

 

Saturday July 30 - DJ Mauri.
