Happy New Year!

 

I hope you had fun no matter where you brought in the New Year. If you were at URGE – congrats you survived our biggest night EVER!

 

Christmas and New Year proved to be a big time for us at the bar with lots of highlights and great crowds. Also good to see so many hot men at the Undies Party on January 2!

 

There will be no let up in the next six weeks or so – with three Underwear Parties, a Big Gay Out, our third Bear New Zealand week and one of America’s top DJs coming to 490 Karangahape Road. Phew!

Don’t forget URGE is now open every Sunday during summer from 3pm-7pm. These have proved to be really popular so far and a great way to chill out with mates while enjoying some nibbles and drink specials. Also James Leuii is continuing his ‘Man Friday’ nights every Friday at the bar.

Fri Feb 3 – Friday Furry Friday – the monthly meeting of the Bear NZ group. We are returning to the home of Bears in Auckland at URGE from 8pm with nibbles and drink specials followed by music from DJ James Leuii

Sat Feb 4 – Luke James DJing

Sun Feb 5 – Waitangi ‘Underware’ Party with DJ Ant. Yes another Undies Party! $10 tickets will be available from January 19 at the bar.

 

Sat Feb 11 – Bear NZ/Big Gay Out warm-up with DJ Donald Bennett. Get the big week started in the best way possible with music from DJ Donald.

Sun Feb 12 – Big Gay Out at Coyle Park. URGE is teaming up once again with Caluzzi to run the Beer/Dance Tents. This is also the start of the Bear NZ week and you can pick up your tickets from our tent at the Beer Tent

 

Mon Feb 13 – Bear NZ Meet and Greet at The Surrey Hotel, Grey Lynn from 5pm followed by Wet Fur at Centurian Sauna

 

Tues Feb 14 – Bear Drag Race from DNA at 6pm followed by Bear Drag at Caluzzi

 

Weds Feb 15 – Day trip to Karangahake Gorge followed by ‘UnderBear’ Party with music from DJ Mauri. $10 tickets AVAILABLE ON THE NIGHT ONLY – no pre-sale.

 

Thurs Feb 16 – Bears on Screen at the Rialto Cinemas, Newmarket: ‘Kink Crusaders’ from 6.30pm

Sat Feb 18 – Tri-Nations 2012 – the BIG dance party of Bear NZ Week with DJs Tim McLoone (UK), Matt Effect (Aus) and James Leuii (NZ) at 4:20 Bar, 373 Karangahape Rd.
